Saturday, March 17th, Kids ages 15 and under are invited to enter fish for FREE at the Fishing Derby at Mile Square Park from 9:00am – 12:00pm. They will be able to compete to win multiple prizes and champions for different age groups. The lake will be stocked with 1,500 pounds of trout just for the derby and fishing clinics will be hosted throughout the event.
Registration is from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. with the Derby starting promptly at 9 a.m. A limited quantity of fishing rods will be available for loan. A complimentary barbecue lunch will be served to all who attend. Phil Friedman of Fish Talk Radio will be the master of ceremonies.
The Kids’ Fishing Derby has become an annual tradition at Mile Square Park and we are thrilled to bring the community together for this event,” Orange County Board of Supervisors Chairman Andrew Do, First District, said. “We’re excited for youngsters to cast their lines and enjoy a morning of outdoor fun.”
