This morning I had the opportunity to check out Target’s new Beauty Concierge Service. I have particularly sensitive eyes, and have trouble finding products to fit my specific needs.
I wandered into the beauty aisle of my local Target and their Beauty Concierge was very easy to find. Evelyn was quite helpful. I was asking her a little about her makeup background, and she said she’s been a lover of all things beauty products since she was old enough to start using them. I kinda have to agree, because I remember sneaking into my mom’s makeup drawers to try out a few products here and there at a young age.
So in talking to Evelyn, I described some particular issues I have with my skin – break outs one of the big issues. She said that that was probably due to an allergy. Did you know that some facial products contain perfume? I never considered that – a big duh as to why I’m having issues – I am allergic to many perfumes.
When it comes to anything around my eyes, I have to be careful because of my allergies. I’m allergic to so many of the mascaras, eyeshadows and eyeliners that after a few applications, I may develop a persistent watery eye that just won’t go away for days on end. Eventually I end up throwing away all my make up and starting over with new brands. Let me tell you, it becomes costly!!!! So, it is helpful having a beauty concierge available to help select hypo allergenic items and specific ingredients to watch out for.
We also discussed color selections when it comes to eye shadows. I was looking for bold or strong colors and she informed me that the Maybelline line has true colors to what the packaging displays.
What questions do you have for the beauty concierge? She’s waiting to talk to you! Thanks Target for this great new service!
