Girl Scouts Fall Products and Giveaway | @GirlScoutsOC

You may notice that the Girls Scouts out in full force this fall. However, they won’t be selling the usual cookies that you typically see them sell. This year they are rolling out a Fall Product Program, selling a wide variety of nuts, chocolates, photo keepsakes and magazines and I had a chance to sample some of these delicious treats.

The Girl Scout’s Fall Product Program is not just about earning money for their troop activities, it teaches them important life skills like goal setting, money management, decision making, people skills, and business ethics. Girl Scouts are also learning the importance of giving back, as they donate snacks and nuts to food banks and magazines to the military through the “Care to Share” program. 

We received a complimentary sample of a few select items from the Girl Scouts, and with our current heat wave, they ended up a little melted (as shown in the above photo) however, they were quite delicious!

So excited they now offer a few of my favorite items, my first selection – Deluxe Pecan Clusters. They come in a container with 10 pieces of scrumptious caramel and pecans held together with milk chocolate. Let me just say that my husband and I battled over these – till he devoured them all.

Next we sampled the English Butter Toffee – a thick square of english toffee coated in milk chocolate; need I say more? It was a little crunchy to bite into because of the toffee – but that is what I expected. Again, the chocolate was very soft and melty because of delivery – perfect in my book.

Finally, we opened the can of Butter Toffee Peanuts. All I needed was a bowl of ice cream and I was in heaven. A great snack as I watched my husband walk away with a few handfuls of my favorite nuts – I had to hide the rest from him.
