Last week I had the opportunity to find out about a new facial that is quick, convenient, and in orange county. Skin Laundry recently opened in Newport Beach and offers a 10 minute laser facial.
I had planned a night out with a couple girlfriends to get our treatments and a bite to eat.

Just before my treatment, I got a chance to speak with Chris Carey, CEO of Skin Laundry. He went into depth about how he and his partner teamed up to create Skin Laundry; one had the vision of the location with the calming asthetic and the other, the technical side with the lasers, product and the process:
The Process:
- Make an appointment through their online system
- Visit Skin Laundry in Newport Beach
- Check in and fill out forms via iPad in the beautiful reception area
- Clean off makeup in their vanity area with cleansing cloths provided
- Get escorted to the treatment room for your 10 minute facial
- Talk to a registered nurse to go over the process, risks and contraindications regarding treatment
- They start with the first laser that takes off excess makeup, dirt and bacteria
- A cooling gel is applied to your face
- An IPL or Intensed Pulsed Light is then used with that stimulates collagen and smoothes the skin
- Your skin is left feeling clean and refreshed
I have to say that I really enjoyed the treatment. You’ll notice that there is a bit of a prickly feeling when they use the first laser on the skin, which some people may find painful. However, it is rather quick. You’ll also notice a funny smell, which I was told is the bacteria and makeup being lasered out of your pores. And the results, immediately after the treatment, my skin felt fresh and very clean. Looking closely in the mirror, I didn’t have the usual redness from typical facials and my pores looked smaller too.
The treatment rooms are so nice. With a calming feeling, it was easy to relax and enjoy the facial.
