This Saturday, May 2nd spend a family fun day at the OC Zoo, learning about Bears at their Bear Awareness Day 10:00am – 4:00pm.

Spend the day at the OC Zoo and learn more about Bears with fun activities including bear crafts, special zoo keeper chats and more. Special learning stations will be set up to learn about conservations of bears and what to do if you see a bear while camping.
You’re invited to a historic family event hosted by OC Parks – Rancho Days Fiesta on May 3rd from 11:00am – 3:00pm at Heritage Hill Park in Lake Forest, California.

During the Rancho Days Fiesta, families will enjoy visiting the historic Serrano Adobe and explore live as it was in California in the mid 1800’s. You’ll have the opportunity to experience the sights, sounds and smells of the era. Enjoy entertainment in the form of music, dance, food and crafts.

Mark your calendar for Saturday, February 7th for Mile Square Regional Park’s 6th Annual Monarch Butterfly Day.

Families are invited to Mile Square Park for Monarch Butterfly Day to learn about Monarch Butterflies, their natural habitat and and up close look at these beautiful creatures. The free event takes place inside the Butterfly Garden at the park’s Camp Sycamore located near parking lot E.
On Saturday, June 28th, join OC Parks and The Dr. John D. Cooper Archaeological and Paleontological Center for Prehistoric Kids Day at the Muth Interpretive Center at Upper Newport Bay Nature Preserve.

The Prehistoric Kids Day event will present Orange County’s rich heritage of natural history, prehistoric animals and plants, and local Native American history to the community.
