The Hub My Little Pony Halloween Party

Last week, we got the opportunity to go to the Hub’s Halloween Party in LA and preview the new “My Little Pony Friendship is Magic” Halloween episode.

Since my kids LOVE My Little Pony, I figured we were in for a fun filled night. To start off, once we entered, there was a special photo opportunity with Strawberry Shortcake.  Now, when I was a kid, I LOVED the show, characters, etc.  I had everything you could think of with Strawberry Shortcake (comforter, sheets, curtains, dresses, dolls, you name it, I had it).  The best part was seeing my princess walk up to Strawberry Shortcake and get all giddy with smiles.  She couldn’t get enough and seriously kept returning for more hugs.

Then the kids were directed to tables set up with treat bags ready to be decorated.  Halloween decorations galore were available for the youngsters to fancy up their bags for treats later that evening.

There were also games, prizes a scavenger hunt through the Carondelet House.  What an amazing place.

The kids also enjoyed special balloon creatures by this fabulous balloon artist.  She created ghost backpacks, cat/pumpkin wrist corsages and more.

Then it was time for an advanced screening of My Little Pony.  What a great episode.  The creators had loads of fun creating special costumes for all the characters.  Check it out here:

And we were lucky enough to meet the voice of Twilight Sparkle, aka Tara Strong, who entertained the kids by talking to them as Twilight Sparkle.

Finally, the evening was wrapped up with a beautiful treat table loaded with all kinds of candies, jewelry, etc for the guests.  The parents even when home with their “adult” goodie bags consisting of a “Hub” version of Twister.

Thank you to our friends at “The Hub”!

  2. That sounds fabulous! My daughters are MLP fans and I would love to be able to attend a premiere in the future. How did you get invited? That would be pretty cool to take them. Thanks!
