Recipe: Mushroom Meatloaf with Baker’s Secret Bake & Serve + Giveaway | @WorldKitchenLLC #ad #BakersSecret

This post is sponsored by World Kitchen LLC on behalf of Baker’s Secret; however, all thoughts and opinions are my own.

My husband has been teasing me quite a lot lately. Apparently he wants me to start making dinners again. As a family on the go, there are so many days that I just don’t feel like cooking, however eating out all the time has added a few extra pounds around the waist for the both of us, so back into the kitchen I go. One of my favorite “go to meals” my kids LOVE is our Mushroom Meatloaf.

Mushroom Meatloaf Bakers Secret

I received the new 4-piece Baker’s Secret Bake & Serve Set to sample and put to the test. I decided to try out one of my favorite recipes, a spin off of something my mom used to make my brother and I when we were kids. She used to make this super simple meatloaf, but I added a twist – mushrooms! By tucking in mushroom, I’m able to sneak in a serving of veggies for my family without them evening knowing – until today.

I decided to get my daughter involved in cooking dinner. Its time they start to learn how to prepare a meal as I remember learning when I was probably about 10 years old. To make it easy, I chopped all of the ingredients while she shorted them into containers, making sure we had the correct amounts.

Then we grabbed our new Baker’s Secret Bake & Serve set and washed and used non stick spray to make sure our Mushroom Meatloaf and sauce didn’t adhere to the sides.

Bakers Secret Bake And Serve

For our Mushroom Meatloaf, I used the Baker’s Secret Bake & Serve 2 quart square baking dish. This awesome metal dish is perfect for preparing your favorite savory dish, and taking it right out of the oven to the dinner table, with a stylish design and fabulous colors (alpine white, roma red and deep sea). For a metal baking dish, it is very light weight, dish washer safe, and a great space saver since all 4 pieces actually nest into each other for easy storage.

Ingredients

Meatloaf

  • 2 lbs ground beef

  • 1 cup diced mushrooms finely chopped
  • 1 cup diced onion finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup bread crumbs
  • 1 egg

Sweet Sauce for Meatloaf

Instructions

  1. Heat oven to 350 degrees. Spray square 2 quart baking dish with non stick spray.
  2. Mix together ground beef, onion soup mix, diced mushrooms, diced onion, bread crumbs and egg.
  3. Divide into two portions. Place 1st half into square baking dish, leaving room around the edges.
  4. Mix together ketchup and brown sugar and spread half over first layer of raw meatloaf mixture.
  5. Next take the remaining meatloaf mixture and gently place over the top.
  6. Again, spread remaining sweet sauce over meatloaf
  7. Bake for 60 minutes in oven at 350.
  8. Let cool for 5 minutes and serve.

My favorite feature of the 4-piece Baker’s Secret Bake & Serve Set is the ease of clean up. As soon as we finished with dinner, I started washing the baking pan and was absolutely amazed with how quickly everything wiped out – grease and caked on ketchup and brown sugar, I thought for sure I’d have to soak the pan. I’m in LOVE!!! Now, you can win your very own set!

  1. I love making salsa chicken for my picky eaters, they love it and it’s very easy to make! I also love baking cookies with my daughter, it’s our special thing 🙂

  2. Well, I like baking lasagna. I’m about to make my first attempt at a Kentucky Stack Cake (my Grandma used to make one every Christmas.) It’s thin layers of a cake about like gingerbread with an apple mixture between the cake layers. My Grandma’s had 10 or more layers, but I’m going for 5, lol. Here’s the thing: I don’t like stack cake so I have no idea how it should taste!! I’m making it for my brother, who hasn’t had one since our Grandma died. Well, I have her recipe…so, wish me luck!
