Holiday Fun at Legoland California Resort

On Monday, November27th, award-winning actress and singer Hilary Duff, will be Legoland California Resort special guest to light the world’s largest LEGO® Christmas tree at the family theme park’s 15th annual Tree Lighting Ceremony, kicking off LEGOLAND’s holidays. Now through January 1st, guests will have the opportunity to enjoy the world’s largest Christmas tree, live entertainment, and take a picture with Lego Brick Santa and reindeer.

The annual tree lighting ceremony is part of the Legoland’s festive winter celebration, Holidays at LEGOLAND California Resort. Star of the critically-acclaimed TV Land series “Younger,” and known for her success as “Lizzie McGuire,” Hillary Duff will help Santa in pulling the switch that lights the 30-foot tall Christmas tree. Created out of more than 245,000 green DUPLO® bricks, the tree has more than 400 LEGO ornaments and will be illuminated with more than 11,000 LED lights. Join in the fun kicking off the holidays with the tree lighting, fireworks and snow flurries as well as all of Legoland’s holiday festivities that are included with regular Park admission.

HEARTLAKE CITY:
Heartlake City has been transformed into a winter wonderland for guests to enjoy and children can sing and dance as they watch family fun holiday shows and join in building activities in the Heartlake City stables. Occasional snow flurries and a traveling brass band playing festive bluegrass music will fill Heartlake City with the holiday spirit. Families can indulge in tasty holiday fare such as churros con chocolate, vanilla bean hot chocolate and spiced apple cider, plus enjoy character meet and greets with LEGO Santa and a LEGO toy soldier and collect holiday inspired pop badges.

FUN TOWN:
The fun continues in Fun Town. Stroll through the glimmer buildings trimmed with twinkling lights and décor. Snap a selfie in front of the world famous Lego Christmas Tree, constructed out of more than 245,000 forest green Duplo bricks. Pose for a family photo with life-size LEGO Santa and his reindeer and head on over to the Fun Town stage to sing and dance along with an all new show, The Yule Tides, Santa’s musical elves who deck all the halls with carols old and new. 

WINTER HOLIDAY MARKET: 
All new this year, indulge in our Winter Holiday Market during extended Park hours on Saturday Dec. 9 and 16. Get your shopping on at the “Winter Holiday Market” for some authentic “German Christmas Market” inspire treats like grilled sausages served in a roll with caramelized onions, Old World New England Clam Chowder, giant Bavarian pretzels and seasonal beverages including spiced wines, apple cider and specialty hot chocolate. Start checking off that shopping list with exclusive retail items too.

SEALIFE AQUARIUM & LEGOLAND HOTEL:
The family festivities continue at SEA LIFE® aquarium and LEGOLAND® Hotel. SEA LIFE aquarium has a special holiday themed daily dive show and winter craft activities. LEGOLAND Hotel has also gotten in the holiday spirit with festive decorations, holiday entertainment and its own LEGO Christmas tree. Kids will also enjoy special holiday themed games and story time at the castle, plus building contests themed for the festivities.

NEW YEARS EVE PARTY:
The grand finale of Holidays at LEGOLAND California Resort is when midnight comes early at our annual Kids’ New Year’s Eve party. This celebration begins with special musical performances on Fun Town Stage and Heartlake City. Then, the party moves to San Francisco in Miniland U.S.A. where, like the famous Times Square party, Kids’ New Year’s Eve features a countdown followed by a huge LEGO brick dropping 22 feet into 2018 and spectacular fireworks at 6 p.m. to end the night.
