Rubys And Children’s Miracle Network Partnering for Local CMN Hospitals | @RubysDiner

We recently visited our local Ruby’s Dinner to support their partnership with Children’s Miracle Network; benefiting local Children’s Hospitals. Now through October 10th Ruby’s Diner locations across Southern California and Hawaii are accepting donations to support the CMN children’s hospitals in their county with 100% of the money raised at each location going to the local CMN hospital.

In honor of Ruby’s partnership with the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, guests can order a limited time, kid-inspired “Muddy Gummy Goody Shake” with vanilla ice cream, Hershey’s Chocolate Syrup, Oreo cookie crumbles, whipped cream and topped with squirmy gummy worms.

“The Muddy Gummy Goody shake was created to represent the creativity and fun kids have when they play with their food. Ruby’s wants the shake to be the symbol for child appreciation during this fundraising effort for the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals,” said Doug Cavanaugh, founder and CEO of Ruby’s Diner.

Children’s Miracle Hospitals participating in this campaign include:

  • Children’s Hospital of Orange County (CHOC Children’s)
  • Children’s Hospital Los Angeles]
  • Rady Children’s Hospital in San Diego
  • Kapiolani Medical Center for Women and Children in Hawaii

For 30 years, Ruby’s Diners have worked at being an active part of the communities they serve. Ruby’s “Fun” Raiser programs contribute to local schools, churches, sports teams and other community groups are an important part of the company’s family-driven operations.

Guests who contribute to the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals fundraiser will be recognized with special Miracle Balloon icons that feature their name. These icons will be used to create decorative murals for the windows and a wall at each Ruby’s to showcase the community spirit of each location.

On a personal note, I love the fact that Ruby’s is working with an organization that I worked with back in my working days. I recall being the Children’s Miracle Network coordinator for my building when I worked at Costco Wholesale approximately 20 years ago. It’s an awesome organization, helping kids, one that I’m honored to have participated in and continue to do so.
