Lunch time at Hendrix Restaurant and Bar, Laguna Niguel | @hendrix_oc

Hosted: If you’re in the south Orange County area and are looking for a great restaurant, be sure to hit up Hendrix Restaurant and Bar in Laguna Niguel. Executive Chef Rainer Schwarz and Hendrix offers rotisserie meats like whole Rosemary and Lemon Roasted Chicken, Colorado leg of lamb, and Porchetta. Now, you can get some of these premium options in the middle of the day, since they have expanded their operating hours to include lunch Tuesdays through Fridays 11:30am to 2:30pm.

Rosemary Lemon Chicken at Hendrix OC Laguna Niguel

My foodie pals and I were invited to Hendrix Restaurant and Bar, OC to sample the new delicious lunch menu, and seriously assistance leaving the restaurant. We were so happily full, with the promise to return soon. When asked what my favorite was, I’d have to say several of the small bites including:

Roti Chicken and San Daniele Prosciutto Fritters from Hendrix OC

The Roti Chicken and San Daniele Prosciutto Fritters were bite size deliciousness. These little babies were soft inside with mashed up rotisserie chicken and the prosciutto with soft crunchy exterior, topped with a maille whole grain mustard and honey aioli, I could have made a meal out of these small bites.

 Big Eye Hawaiian Tuna, Ahi Tuna Hendrix Restaurant and Bar

The Big Eye Hawaiian Tuna was as pretty as was tasty. Delicious slices of ahi tuna perfectly seared over a bed greens and onions with avocado and a sweet miso sesame crisp.

Baked Lobster Mac and Cheese Hendrix Laguna Niguel

The Baked Lobster Mac and Cheese was to die for! Large elbow noodles with generous helpings of cheesy goodness and chucks of lobster, topped with a sprinkle of torched panko for an added texture, this small dish was certainly enough to make a fantastic meal. I’d even pair it with a light salad and call it a day.

For a lighter fare, the Grilled Salmon Caesar Salad is a great pick. A beautifully grilled salmon resting on a bed of fresh romaine, garnished with a tomato relish, cornbread croutons and sprinkled with reggianno parmesan pairs nicely with any of the above side dishes.

Now there are many, many more dishes we were invited to sample that I haven’t pictured, like the fried Brussel sprouts and the grilled ham and cheese; all just as fabulous and recommended picks. I even brought a little of the grilled ham and cheese home to the hubster and he devoured it quickly saying it was awesome. So, I’d highly recommend hitting up Hendrix Restaurant and Bar in the middle of the day to catch some of these tasty dishes offered by Executive Chef Rainer Schwarz and tell me which is your favorite.
