The Infinite Smile Project is Teaching Kindness to Youngsters | @infinitesmilepr

With my kiddos being school aged, it has been fun watching them develop friendships. However, I have already seen and heard about drama starting between the kids in Kindergarten. I have had several talks with my kinder about how to be a great friend, and now with the Infinite Smile Project, we are on kindness and the inclusion of all in her “Friendship Team”.

The Infinite Smile Project was developed to spread joy and happiness. It is wonderful to encourage youngsters from the age of 3 to high school aged children to get involved with kindness and acts of service in our communities.

At InfiniteSmile.com, they make a call to take action and spread happiness with suggested monthly campaigns. For instance, in September and October it was suggested to collect backpacks for underprivileged children and adults. By collecting new or gently used backpacks and filling with either school supplies or personal items for adults and dropping them off at a local shelter or home would spread cheer amongst those in need. Or, create your own campaign. During the months of November and December, it’s the perfect time to get the kids involved in the spirit of giving. Whether it’s helping collect cans for food bank donations, adopt a family, donate gently used toys and clothing to children’s homes, there are so many opportunities for our children to help others. I recall last year we had the opportunity to donate and wrap gifts for a few foster homes, and they really enjoyed being a part of this great cause.

Infinite Smile also hosts kid’s kindness contests. Infinite Smile Project is currently looking for a new friend for their character pups: Dylan & Delany Dog in their book: “Dylan & Delany’s World of Kindness”. Kids ages 18 and under are welcome to create their very own storybook character. The winning character will be forever published in a series of books where a portion of the proceeds will go directly to a charity of their choice. The winner will also receive $1,000 towards a college fun or a charity of choice.  For more information about this amazing contest and all the details on how to enter, visit: http://www.theinfinitesmile.com/contestevents/

Get involved! It’s never too early to share the gift of kindness with our youngsters. With the holidays coming up, it’s even more important to spread a little cheer to our community.
